To the Editor:
It is insane how much this paper puts only negative information about the Villages hospital. Where are the stories of the thousands of lives they save every year? You print about people having to wait for a nurse or a check out or food. Never do we read of all the good that is done. We all know the problem is the budget. As soon as the new administration In Washington came in the cuts to Medicare made all hospitals suffer.
Speak about the real issues.
My son who is in the military active duty went there, was given excellent care after a surgery at another hospital got infected. Went to see the surgeon that’s affiliated with the hospital at her office a week later for a follow up and her office did not accept Tri Care premium. Instead of turning him away, she treated him at no charge. But, you never print anything positive. Why don’t you try talking to the administrator of the loopholes in Medicare that is hurting all hospitals, causing nursing shortages?
Stop putting stories out of such negativity so every person who had a cold or couldn’t find a call button can jump on the bandwagon. Talk about how they took my dad in with chest pains and had him evaluated in 10 minutes with the lobby full. Talk about the number of ambulances they receive a day. Talk to an ER nurse or a floor nurse and they will tell you what the problems are and what needs to be done to fix it.
