The rules have changed

To the Editor:

Christine Getz of the Hallandale Villas points to on overview of one of the driveways in question.

Our neighborhood appreciates that deed restrictions ensure a good appearance and  some of the specific policies/guidelines in the deed restriction manual have changed over the years.

In 2010, the Architectural Review Committee routinely accepted and approved extending driveways on both sides.

A few years later no extensions were approved. Now only one-sided extensions are approved. So, when we moved here we did not agree to the current driveway guideline/policy.
