This idea could crack down on trolls in The Villages

To the Editor:

Despite the confidentiality of deed restriction complaints, I think there is a better way of controlling the so-called “trolls” who drive around looking for things to complain about.
Although their identities cannot presently be revealed to the deed violators (maybe that’s a good thing to preserve neighborhood harmony), their identities and Village of residence SHOULD be revealed to the Villages’ personnel who take the complaints. That way the deed enforcement personnel could see if it’s always the same people making complaints or if they even live anywhere near the offending property. A completely anonymous system gives too much leeway to chronic complainers who don’t even have to identify themselves to Villages’ personnel.
