Villagers banned from Gator’s Dockside after name-calling brawl during football game

Two Villagers are among four people banned from Gator’s Dockside after a name-calling brawl broke out during a football game.

Police officers were called shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday to the restaurant at Spanish Springs Town Square after two men got into a fight.

A 30-year-old Zephyrhills man claimed that a 56-year-old Villager who lives on the Historic Side called his wife a “bitch,” according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The pair got into a punching battle and had to be separated. The Villager suffered small lacerations to his face while the Zephyrhills man had bruising on his lip and the right side of his face, the report said.

Both men declined to pursue prosecution.

The restaurant’s manager asked that the Villager, his 55-year-old wife, the Zephyrhills man and his 26-year-old wife be trespassed from Gator’s Dockside.
