Villagers join in golf cart parade in support of Donald Trump

Villagers took to their golf carts, forming a parade Friday afternoon in support of Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

The long line of honking golf carts traveled from the rally point at Barnes & Noble to nearby Lake Sumter Landing Market Square. From there, they went across the bridge at Lake Sumter, down Morse Boulevard to Spanish Springs Town Square. After circling the square, the carts traveled through the Del Mar Gate to Rio Grande Avenue, back to Morse Boulevard, across the bridge again and made a second circle around Lake Sumter Landing Market Square.

The carts were decorated with Trump signs, leaving no doubt as to who these Villagers will be casting their ballots for in the March 15 Florida Presidential Preference Primary.

Sue Cianci and Bill Garner were the ringleaders of the event.

Cianci used a megaphone to rev up the crowd and the sometimes curious onlookers.

The parade received honks of support and plenty of thumbs up.

There was the occasional thumbs down. One protester showed up with a sign prior to the start of the parade. Trump fans offered the protester some Trump literature.
