The Gem Stone Dancers are nearing the end of their busy season.

But that doesn’t mean they’ll be slowing down.

The two-year-old performance troupe is in heavy demand from October to May. This season they did 15 shows in eight months.

You’ll be able to catch them at the Villages Cinco De Mayo festival in May and a Showcase of Talent event later this month.

The summer months are a time for the Gem Stone Dancers to work on new routines and rehearse new numbers.

The group was founded by Judy Quail of the Village of Hadley who was a choreographer for the Washington Wizards dance team, the Wizard Girls.

“We are very close,” she said.

After a big performance, they like to get together at one of their homes to wind down and discuss how the performance went.

The group has 18 members and gets together twice a week to rehearse.
