Server arrested after holiday party at Nancy Lopez sentenced in drunk driving arrest

Jamie Rosier

A server who was arrested after a Christmas party at the Legacy restaurant at Nancy Lopez Country Club has been sentenced in the case.

Jamie Rosier, 24, of Belleview, who works at Palmer Legends Country Club in The Villages, had been at the Christmas party on Dec. 21. She was on her way home shortly after 10 p.m. when her grey GMC SUV was pulled over by a Marion County sheriff’s deputy. Another motorist had called in to report her erratic driving.

It appeared she had been drinking and she had spilled a drink on her dress. She struggled through field sobriety exercises and flunked the alphabet test. She refused to provide a breath sample, but admitted to drinking three glasses of wine at the party, according to the arrest report. Her father arrived on the scene and took possession of her vehicle.

On March 23 in Marion County Court, Rosier pleaded no contest to a charge of DUI impairment. Rosier has been placed on probation for one year and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service. She has been ordered to stay away from alcohol and illegal substances. She will have to submit to random screening and seek alcohol evaluation. She will have to have an ignition interlock device installed on her vehicle and it will be set at the lowest level.
