Water Oaker transported to The Villages Regional Hospital after accident

A Water Oaker was transported to The Villages Regional Hospital after an accident at noon Monday at the entrance to the community on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake.

Nancy Ann Shoemaker, 68, had been at the wheel of a 2006 Buick which collided with an SUV driven by 80-year-old Herman William Seidel of Leesburg, according to the Lady Lake Police Department.

He was ticketed on a charge of careless driving.

He was also transported to TVRH for injuries suffered in the accident.
