Woman who walked out of store with necklaces also had Oxycodone in her purse

Jessica Lynn Waters

A woman who walked out of a Villages store with a pair of stolen necklaces Sunday afternoon also had Oxycodone in her purse.

Jessica Lynn Waters, 30, of Orange Park, entered Belk at La Plaza Grande, put two necklaces into her purse and left the store without paying for them, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. She was detained by the store’s loss prevention officer. The necklaces had a combined total value of $120.

While taking the necklaces out of her purse, a police officer discovered the Oxycodone for which Waters does not have a prescription.

She was arrested on charges of retail theft and possession of a controlled substance. She was booked at the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $2,500.
