Woman’s purse stolen from car parked at Murphy Oil with children inside

A woman’s purse was stolen Monday afternoon from a car parked at a Murphy Oil station with children inside.

The 62-year-old woman parked the car at 3:14 p.m. at the service station at 17840 SE 112th Court Road in Summerfield, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. She left two children, a two-year-old and a 10-year-old, in the vehicle.

The children described the purse thief as a white man who then left in a white car.

The purse contained a wallet, credit cards, cash, keys and sunglasses.
