When firefighters arrived at the house in the 1500 block of Gumwood Drive, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage of the 1,512-square-foot residence, a report says.
Firefighters aboard Engine 44, Ladder 44, Tower 51, Rescue 51 and Squad 51 responded to the blaze, along with a battalion chief. They were able to contain the flames to the garage area of the 12-year-old home, the report says.
