A car’s engine compartment was destroyed in a blaze Friday afternoon in The Villages.
The Villages Public Safety Department swiftly arrived on the scene and extinguished the car fire at about 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Belvedere Boulevard and Churchill Downs, near The Villages High School.
No one appeared to have been injured. The cause of the car fire was not immediately known.
