A 24-year-old Summerfield man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly pointed a gun at a juvenile in a dispute over a dirt bike.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to SE 144th Lane where John G. Dorsey allegedly pointed the gun at a juvenile who had taken Dorsey’s dirt bike, according to an arrest report. A juvenile had taken the dirt bike and rode it through the neighborhood and was confronted by Dorsey. Other juveniles backed up the version of events.
When a deputy asked Dorsey if he owned a gun, Dorsey took the deputy into his bedroom and showed him the gun he keeps under his mattress. He was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked at the Marion County Jail.
