Sumter County sheriff’s detectives are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a man who removed two mobile DVD players on Jan. 7 from the Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages. The suspect resisted attempts of the store’s loss prevention officer to recover the property. The suspect was seen entering and leaving the area in a VW Beetle with a convertible top.
