A Village of Del Mar woman was arrested after allegedly attacking her husband who had ditched her at a restaurant in Spanish Springs Town Square.

Stephanie Marie Buckley, 50, had to walk to her home on Prado Drive on Friday night after her husband of four years left her at Gator’s Dockside when she went to the restroom, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

When Buckley arrived at home, she began arguing with her husband, threw items at him and slapped him several times. He then called 911.

When a police officer arrived, he found the home in disarray with broken glass, furniture and other items.

The man told the officer he had left the restaurant to go home for a swim. He said he had feared Buckley would use her firearm, so he took the firearm from where it was stored in the bedroom and put it in his pants until police arrived.

She was booked on a charge of domestic battery at the Lake County Jail. She was released Saturday afternoon after posting bond.
