Veteran journalist Marv Balousek has joined Villages-News.com.
Balousek worked 28 years as a reporter at the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison, where he covered business, local government, courts and crime.
Before that, he worked at daily and weekly newspapers in Illinois.
He also has written and published 10 books on Wisconsin subjects. He retired in 2009 and moved to The Villages full-time in 2012.
