Bobby Villela and the Loud Boys have set another blood donation record.

OneBlood collected 396 units in the blood drive Saturday at SeaBreeze Recreation Center. It set a record for OneBlood’s Gulf Coast Region.

This topped the Loud Boys’ collection of 383 units last year, which had been the regional recordholder.

“It was a phenomenal event,” said Tony Banner of OneBlood.

Since each unit is split into three units, 1,188 “lives will be saved,” Banner said.
