When dog owners and their pets perform a precision routine to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” there’s only one place you can be — the Dynamic Dog Club’s “Howloween” party.
The event Wednesday afternoon at the Laurel Manor Recreation Center Pavilion drew a large number of canines, many of them in Halloween costume.
Villager Linda Brach and her dog Murray were among the performers in the routines and both appeared to be having a great time.
One of the aims of the event was to teach dog owners that patience and work go a long way toward teaching a dog — and more importantly an owner — good discipline.
Villager Jane Mouradjian brought her dog Charlene, a rescue, but didn’t go for a ghoulish costume.
“Just a simple scarf,” said Jane. “Nothing too elaborate.”
Charlene laid peacefully on her blanket, absorbing the flurry of activity around her.
