Villages Elementary of Lady Lake school social worker Susan Duvall was honored Friday as the Educator of the Year.
Duvall, accepted the honor from Donna McGlone of American Legion Auxiliary 347 in Lady Lake.
“It’s always been an honor to serve the students at this school,” said Duvall, a resident of Weirsdale.
Duvall has been at the school since it opened in 1999.
The auxiliary has been partnering with the school for many years, providing tutors, mentors and school supplies, McGlone said.
This week, Nov. 18-22, had been proclaimed American Education Week in Lady Lake.
