Resident Parade Committee celebrates pair of successful events

After working for four months to create two well-attended, volunteer-run parades for Villages residents, members of Resident Parade Committee decided to relax and enjoy dinner with their spouses/partners after the last parade was finished.
The Resident Parade Committee put on the Italian Parade at Spanish Springs Town Square on Oct. 8. A German Parade followed on Oct. 22, also at Spanish Springs Town Square.
The parades drew large crowds and many entries.
As a joke after dinner at Luigino’s restaurant in Spanish Springs, fellow diners had the server present Kirk Freundt, head of the German Parade, with all of the dinner checks — because his parade was last.
The committee members are:
Frank Truglio and Vinni Demato (Italian Clubs)
Kirk Freundt and Hazel Reale (German Clubs)
Jackie Campbell, Pat Ross, Sally Canna, Maureen Curran, Jack McTigue, BJ Baden, Joan McDonald, Jim Kozinski, Rick CInella (Irish Clubs)
