This week my wife Grace and I will be in Jacksonville spending Thanksgiving with our two grown children, Grace’s family, and our matriarch – Grace’s 93-year-old mother.

Like many of you, as we sit down to a traditional turkey dinner I’ll be thinking about what I’m most thankful for. At the top of the list will be my family sitting beside me, and our wonderful extended family and friends.

I’m also thankful for the privilege of serving you and the Sunshine State as your senator.

Grace and I hope that each of you will be able to share this Thanksgiving with your loved ones, too, and that you may find many, many reasons to be grateful this holiday season.

As we reflect on the past year and look towards the year ahead, let’s also keep our military men and women in our thoughts and prayers. Many of them are still scattered across the world and will be missing their families and friends.

God bless them and you, and thank you all for what you do to make our state and country a better place.
