A 45-year-old motorcyclist is dead following a crash at 10:18 p.m. Friday on State Road 44 at Cypress Cove Court in Citrus County.
The motorcyclist has been identified as Antonia L. Guzman of Plant City.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcycle was traveling at a high speed eastbound on State Road 44. While attempting to negotiate a left curve in the roadway, the motorcycle struck the south curb, overturned, and traveled across the T-intersection of Cypress Cover Court. The motorcycle then collided with the opposing curb which catapulted the motorcycle through a six foot tall fence. The impact ejected the motorcyclist who landed on the concrete sidewalk, FHP said.
