The Villages Twirlers will be performing in an incredible two bowl game parades in two days.

For the fourth time, the Twirlers have been invited to perform in the Florida Citrus Parade, which has grown to become one of the largest sports-affiliated parades in the nation.
The parade, which steps off at 10 a.m. Monday in downtown Orlando is broadcast in more than 75 percent of the TV markets in the United States as well as international locations such as Canada, the United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and the military syndicated channel America One.
In addition to its signature floats made of citrus fruit, the parade features spirited high school marching bands from throughout the nation, participating bowl game college marching bands, specialty units and other exciting performances. Upwards of 3,000 participants take part in this spectacular event.

On Tuesday (New Year’s Eve) the Villages Twirlers will perform at the Gator Bowl Parade which steps off at 3 p.m. The Villages Twirlers are No. 8 in the lineup.
This is the Twirlers’ first Gator Bowl Parade performance.
Kickoff of the 2014 Gator Bowl is noon Wednesday and features the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Georgia Bulldogs.
