Opening Day for the Winter 2014 Season was greeted by some unexpected showers. Division Three was able to get in all their games at Saddlebrook, but the Buffalo Glen fields were too wet for Division Four to play games beyond the 9:00 am starting time safely.

Jim Rogers was five for five, and Rick Ogle had four rbi’s for the Bengals.. Bob DeFelice pitched the win.
Kenney Wykrent tallied four rbi’s for the Cards.
COWBOYS-7 SAINTS-6
Jim Domingos and manager Jim Holloway hammered two hits each for the Cowboys’ winning pitcher Bill Mac Carroll.
Frank Fleischer led the Saints with three hits including a two bagger.
EAGLES-19 CHIEFS-16
Jack Freimuth tagged four hits, and Joe Critelli dealt a double, a homer and five ribbies for the Eagles. Bob “Iron Man” Ivison pitched the “W”.
Bil Crocker cracke four hits and four rbi’s for the Chiefs.
Pat Rice raps one of his three its for the Chiefs.

Joe Rose and Jim Fetela had three hits apiece for the Falcons.
Marcus Bock and Jim Landis delivered three ribbies each for the Broncos.
JAGUARS-16 BROWNS-13
Ed Chirumbolo belted four hits, and Mark Froehle drove in four runs for Jags winning pitcher Dave Nemow.
Dave Kaiser paced the Browns with four hits including a triple.
JETS-15 SEAHAWKS-11
Dale Moses topped the Jets with three hits and three rbi’s for Jets’ winning pitcher Ed “Don’t Call Me Harry” Krisha.
Marty Jarrard jacked three ribeye steaks for the Hawks.
PACKERS-14 GIANTS-12
Lead off hitter Paul LaPoint slugged a homer and four rbi’s for Packs’ ace John Herman.
Bob Healy had a three hit Opening Day for the Gints.
RAIDERS-18 BEARS-12
Bill Nisbit nailed five rbi’s for winning pitcher Paul McDermott.
Larry Harshaw hacked out four hits with a double for Da Bears.
RAVENS-10 PATRIOTS-8
Winning Raiders’ pitcher Lindsay Lowe helped himself with three hits and two ribbies. Terry Jones’ three hits paced the Pats.
STEELERS-12 DOLPHINS-11
Ray Nault and Mark Levine notched three hits each for the Steelers pitcher Steve Heberlig.
Vernon Brooks flamed five hits for the Dolphins.
TITANS-18 BILLS-3
Jim Walters and George MacCumbee caned four hits each, and Bob Dapsis hurled the Titan victory. Billy Ray rapped two homers for the Bills.

Harvey Fellenbaum led the Pistons with a homer and five ribbies, and Jim Boland banged out three hits with four rbi’s for winning pitcher Jack Augustine.
Bill Reed had two of the Thunder’s six home runs.

Bruce Nelson and manager Frank Archer fueled the Rockets with three hits apiece. Art Galish posted the win.
John Dorman had a hot opening day with two homers and four ribbies.
