Villages entertainer Suzie Casta and her father Sal packed the house Saturday night at American Legion Post 347.
It was the second of two shows they performed there that day.
“I love performing with my dad,” Suzie said.
She grew up in Brooklyn and learned all about singing and performing from her father.
“Tonight, we are going to do ‘Sal’s Greatest Hits,'” she told the audience.
This after father and daughter opened the show with Sister Sledge’s anthem, “We Are Family.”
Soon after, Sal got ’em slow dancing with Engelbert Humperdinck’s “After the Loving.”
Alice and Lou Mello of the Village of El Cortez had a table up front.
“It is so good to see her perform with her father,” Lou said.
Villagers Dick and Terry Lastowska got to know Suzie back when she performed Wednesday evenings at Hacienda Country Club.
“She’s great. She’s really worked hard and built up a following,” Terry said.
She must have learned that from her dad.
