The Amenity Authority Committee has approved a motion to pay for 50 percent of the Glenbrook Gate Multi-Modal Path. After receiving final bids for the Glenbrook Gate Multi-Modal Path project, Charlie Cook, chair of District 3, presented the selected bid to the AAC and requested approval of the difference between the previous estimate submitted to the AAC and the selected bid.
During the AAC’s July 10 meeting, members voted unanimously to approve funding of 50 percent of the reconstruction of the multi-modal path at Glenbrook Gate. At the time, the total estimated cost of the project was $47,000. After final bids were received the selected bid, which Cook indicated was also the “least expensive,” was $54,651 – a difference of $7,651.
The AAC approved payment for 50 percent of the additional expenses, amounting to an additional $3,825. The total cost for the AAC’s share of the project will be $27,325.
