A Leesburg man was transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center after suffering injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 6:40 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 near its intersection with Griffin Avenue.
Karl B. Katzenberger, 52, of Leesburg, was travelling southbound in the inside lane on US 27/441 in Lady Lake when his vehicle left the roadway and struck the curbed median on left side approximately 100 feet north of Griffin Avenue. His vehicle left the roadway and overturned, landing back on its four wheels, according to the accident report.
Katzenberger was able to drive the vehicle to the Winn-Dixie parking lot where Lady Lake police made contact with him.
He complained of injuries and was transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center.
He was cited by police on a charge of careless driving.
