TIMBERWOLVES-17      PACERS-2
-Dave Miller, T-Wolves manager, reporting

Hi Guys,

Well, this is an easy one to write. Yesterday’s game was terrific. Lenny pitched a superb game even after taking a shot to his knee/thigh. He pitched the last three innings on one leg. The defense was very good, we got a good sub with Al Uhriniak and we hit the ball well. So yesterday we had all the good aspects of our game going well which doesn’t always happen. And we scored most of our runs with 2 outs.

We do have some awards from yesterday:

Dominic actually gets two awards, “The Ugliest Uniform Award” (for not wearing his uniform and dressing like a gay hobo) and “The Male Chauvinist Pig Award” for the excuse he used for not having his uniform. Although he never wears his T-Wolves hat and wears one that looks like a court jester, his excuse for not wearing the shirt was that “his wife didn’t wash it”.

Poor Dominic, Booo! Hooo! Dom, do you think you’re in Italy, circa 1900, when the wives’ main jobs were to have kids and stomp grapes with their feet? Wash your own friggin’ uniform; I do.

The “Kick Save and a Beauty Award” goes to Lenny who, if he insists on fielding his position like the Chicago Black Hawks Goalie, needs to wear the goalie pads.

The “Disowning Your Own Children Award” goes to me. When Lamar didn’t recognize Dominic’s game attire, he asked me if Dominic was on the Timberwolves’ Roster. I told Lamar that I had never seen him before.

The game stats were:

Dominic Fucile                   3-3            triple                                2 RBIs       Good game, Dom
Jeff  Hageman                   3-3            double & home run          4 RBIs       Vintage Jeff
Ed  Kenney                        3-4
Dave Miller                         3-4            double & home run         6 RBIs
Chuck Nebral                     2-4
Rich Kerzner                      1-2             double                            2 RBIs      Big hit
Jerry Hudson                      1-3             home run                       1 RBI        Nice home run
Larry Conway                     1-3                                                    1 RBI
Jim Furtado                        1-3
Lenny Lewis                       1-2

Guess that’s it for now. We have the Lakers at noon on Monday. Have a good weekend and don’t get hurt. -Dave

BOBCATS-7      BUCKS-6
-Sal Riggio, Bobcats manager, reporting

It wasn’t pretty and it took an extra inning, but the Cats survived the Bucks 7-6 to end their four game losing streak.  The big hit for the Bobcats came off the bat of Edson Phelps who blasted a three run homer.  Dave Paul had a four for four day with two rbi’s while Sergio Carreras and Dick Sneddon each tallied three hits for winning pitcher Dave Bigelow who has now pitched 101 innings without giving up a walk.
Al Jasinski was a defensive star for the Bucks and also lead the team with a four hit day including a homer and two ribbies.  Bob Singer swung three for three in the game.
