To the Editor:
I’m surprised at the high numbers of drivers who fail to signal when changing lanes. By my count, well over half of all drivers in The Villages do not bother to use their turn signal when changing lanes. This included a Villages safety patrol vehicle which passed us and then cut in front of us without so much as a signal to indicate he was changing lanes! Â After distracted driving (using a cell phone), unsafe lane changing is one of the chief causes of serious and fatal accidents. Â Please, PLEASE would all drivers use your turn signal to indicate a lane change! Â Thank you!
