To the Editor:
The scene displayed recently during the “Budweiser Team” event at Brownwood, confirmed that the Villages is not what it used to be. A huge crowd attended and those who arrived early to obtain a decent view were overwhelmed by those who arrived later. Many people displayed outright rudeness and inconsideration for those around them. People pushed there way to the front of others and blocked the views of those who had been waiting patiently. The event being a hour late starting did not help the situation, since some had been standing in the hot sun for about 2 hours. Based on the mob scene displayed, it is unlikely that I will attend any future events that attract  a crowd of this size. When this many people aattend an event, it becomes a “me first” attitude. The “Friendliest Hometown,” unfortunately, is not here any longer.
