Frank McCann, 76, of The Villages passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014. Frank was born and raised in Philadelphia and never forgot it, he was Philly through and through. He made his living as a shipwright, working in the Navy Yards in Philly for over 30 years. He was a true family man and had a great sense of humor. He could light up a room with his charm, smile and infectious laugh. He loved to dance with his loving wife of 53 years, Dot. He and Dot moved to this area from New Jersey in 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Catherine McCann and two brothers, Edward and Phillip McCann.
He is survived in addition to his wife Dot, three daughters, Kathleen Camm (Kerry), Colleen McCann, Maureen McCann; grandchildren, Justin Camm, Jessica Camm, Elle Woods-McCann, Charlee Woods-McCann, Cassius Woods-McCann; sister, Catherine Joyce (Bill) and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 1 – 3 PM with a prayer service at 2 pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages.
