The Villages Regional Hospital earned an “A” rating in the latest Leapfrog Group report that issues letter grades twice a year to more than 2,500 hospitals across the country.
Last year, TVRH had earned a “B” rating.
Leesburg Regional Medical Center raised its grade from a “C” to a “B.”
The report, issued this past week, grades hospitals on how well they prevent errors, injuries and infections.
“The data tells us that more hospitals are working harder to create a safe environment, and that’s good news for patients,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of Leapfrog, which administers the Hospital Safety Score.
