A 50-year-old Village of Liberty Park man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence Saturday afternoon on Buena Vista Boulevard near St. Charles Place.
Gregory Jackson Collins was driving 55 mph in a 35 mph zone shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He told the deputy he had consumed three rum and Cokes in the previous 20 minutes, according to the arrest report.
He was issued citations for speeding and DUI and transported to the Sumter County Detention Center.
