Jack W. Hofmann, age 78 years old, The Villages, Florida and formerly a resident of Oldwick, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday. May 21, 2014. He was married to Martha Hofmann on October 24, 2009. He is survived by his four lovely children; Cynthia Coale, of Riegelsville, PA.; Robert Hofmann, of Kansas City, KS; Ronald Hofmann, of Greer, SC and Michelle ”Chelmo” Hofmann, of Oldwick, NJ and 8 grandchildren. He was also very much loved by Martha’s son Felipe. He is also survived by his sister Carol Ann Giest of Pomona Beach, CA. Jack was born in 1935 in Washington, DC and was a 17 year member of the Washington Redskin marching band. Jack retired from AT&T after 43 years of service. He was a lifetime member of The Pioneers Of America. Jack was an active resident of The Villages community and his church; Fairway Christian Church. He was an avid fisherman, and Villager softball player. His joys in life were Martha, traveling all over the world, watching the Washington Redskins play in DC, fishing in Canada and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was very much loved by all who had the pleasure of being a part of his life. A visitation will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 10am-12pm and 4pm-6pm. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Fairway Christian Church at 11am.
