An unidentified man was hit by a train along the tracks near the property line of the Country Town Village-Mobile Home Park in Ocala.
Just after 7 p.m. Tuesday emergency professionals rushed to an area near 2300 SW 3rd Ave., Ocala, to find a man – at the tracks – severely injured.
“It’s early in the investigation, but witnesses say the man’s legs were lying across the tracks,” said Judge Cochran, spokesman for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Witnesses told detectives the train’s horn went off several times and the emergency brakes were used.
The man was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.
