Sumter County Commissioner Doug Gilpin prefiled Thursday to run for re-election to his seat.
Gilpin, a Republican, was expected to run again. He represents Coleman, Lake Panasoffkee, Oxford, Rutland and Wildwood.
He ran unopposed in 2010.
Fellow Commissioner Garry Breeden pre-filed for re-election earlier in the week.
