A Lady Lake woman was ticketed on a charge of failure to yield the right of way following a two-vehicle crash that sent both drivers to The Villages Regional Hospital.
Janet T. Ross, 61, of Trevino Drive in Lady Lake, at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday was attempting to cross Rolling Aces Road at the entrance to the Village Crossroads of Lady Lake shopping plaza. While attempting to cross the roadway, she drove into the path of a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Rebecca A. Bennett of Ocala, according to an accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
EMS responded to the scene along with Lake County Fire Rescue.
A passenger in Bennett’s vehicle, Lawrence G. Payne also of Ocala, escaped injury and was able to drive Bennett’s 1992 white Oldsmobile from the accident scene.
The 2007 Chevrolet HHR owned by Ross had to be towed from the scene.
