A 62-year-old Villager was arrested by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies after she allegedly took more than $100 from Bealls at Southern Trace shopping plaza without paying for them.
Marie Carolyn Lupo was arrested at about 12:45 p.m. Thursday, according to the arrest report. Items taken included clothing and jewelry, the arrest report indicated.
She was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $1,000.
