James P. Hanley of Somers, N.Y. (AKA) “PADDY”, of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 23, 2014. He was born in Bronx, N.Y. to Christopher & Julia Hanley. He served in the Marines from 1956-1959. He retired from banking and then moved to The Villages in 1996. He had a position in the Post Office in La Plaza Grande. Then went on to work as a Lobby Host for the Villages and continued with the Villages to work with the Property Management group. He got great enjoyment volunteering for Little League with the Dad’s Club in Somers, N.Y. for 10 years. Worked on Habitat Homes, Ami-cares, helped build a handicap playground with The Lions Club. He was a member of the Irish American Club and a member of the Celtic Club. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy, Daughter, Kathleen & Jude Brower, their children, Kimberly, Julia, and Jude Paul, Son, Jim & Irene & son Mathew, Son, Michael & Jamie & Children, Tara, Michael Patrick & Brian, Cousins Terry & Paul Sidoti, and Brenda & John Keller & families. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 12:00-2:00. The service will be at 1:00 p.m.
