Maryanne McCann, long time resident of Purdys, NY passed away on August 19th, 2014 in the Villages, Florida. She was the beloved wife of Frank J. McCann; they were married 47 years. She is survived by her four loving children, Michael McCann, Deborah McCann Blue, Frank McCann, and Jim McCann; 4 grandchildren; and siblings Johnny Murphy, Tommy Murphy, and Kathleen Donahue. Maryanne loved nothing better than reading a good book on her deck and talking with her friends. She loved knitting, ceramics, knicknacks, and trying new recipes. She worked at the Westchester Exceptional Children’s School and volunteered at her church and local Thrift Shop. She’ll be remembered for her love, honesty and laugh. A Memorial Service will be held in Purdys, New York at the Methodist Church in late October. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Lone Survivor Foundation. Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
