
Anita Margaret Pullen of The Villages, Florida, died on August 27, 2014 at 1:30 a.m. at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages. Born on January 11, 1938 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Frank and Margaret Herb. She is survived by Leonard W. (Bill) Pullen, her husband of 50 years, and two daughters, Wendy S. (Brian) Richter of Gurnee, Illinois and Diana M.(Robert) Harvey of Bartlett, Illinois. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Becky Richter of San Diego, California, Hailey, Melissa and Erin Richter of Gurnee, Illinois, Ryan and Sean Harvey of Bartlett, Illinois, one great grandchild, Marisa Ortega of San Diego, California, sister, Barbara M. Stompoly of San Diego, California and brother, Frank J. Herb of Sun City, Arizona. She was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Summerfield, Florida. She was a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites and since moving to The Villages in 2008 was a member of the Regina Pacis Community in Ocala. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Port St. Lucie, Florida for 18 years. She also was an office assistant at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie where she lived for 32 years. Visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A prayer service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Villagers for Hospice.
