Congressman Gus Bilirakis, vice chairman of the Veteran’s Affairs Committee, will speak at a meeting Thursday hosted by The Villages Republican Club of Sumter County.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Savannah Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Bilirakis of Palm Harbor was first elected to Congress in 2006 and is currently serving his fourth term in the House representing Florida’s 12th Congressional District which includes all of Pasco and northern parts of Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.
The Congressman will speak about Veteran’s Affairs and other “hot topics” in Washington. All Village Republicans and Independents are welcome to attend.
“Recognizing the importance of veterans issues, we are extending a special welcome to all Village veterans,” said Club President Joanie Cady. “This is a great opportunity to get an update on issues important to all of us.”
