Villager Margaret “Peggy” Klemm is slated for early release from the Sumter County Detention Center, according to her husband.

On July 30, Klemm had been sentenced to 180 days in jail in connection with the “Sex on the Square” incident in June at Lake Sumter Landing.

She is scheduled for early release “one minute after midnight” on Oct. 31, her husband, Frank Klemm said.

She would have been released in mid-Decemeber, according to the original sentence.

But 68-year-old Klemm has earned “good time” and “work time” credit, he said.

She has been working in the jail’s laundry.

“She’s doing pretty good considering all she’s been through, Klemm said.
