A Village of Winifred couple continued their patriotic tradition on the eve of Veterans Day.
Jim and Sandy Giovannucci put up 115 American flags on Carlyle Lane in honor of Veterans Day.
“We do this for each of the patriotic holidays,” said Sandy Giovannucci.
The couple moved to the Village of Winifred from New Jersey 10 years ago.
They were unhappy with the flags they originally purchased, so they lengthened the flag poles and made them sturdier.
On the day after Veterans Day the couple will collect the flags.
