Man dies in accident near Florida State Fairgrounds

A 52-year-old Valrico man was killed after his Ford F150 left U.S. 301 and collided with a lamp post and then a fence at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Hillsborough County.

David Everett Ferrier was transported to Tampa General Hospital following the accident which occurred at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Ferrier later was pronounced dead at the hospital.
