A Leesburg driver was ticketed following a two-vehicle collision at 3:40 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at Rolling Acres Road.
Megan S. Heichelbech, 34, had been traveling southbound on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 when her 1996 Ford F25 pickup failed to stop in time and collided with the rear end of a 2012 Hyundai Elantra driven by Richard C. Lamb, 77, also of Leesburg, according to an accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
Lake EMS and Lake County Fire Rescue responded to the scene, but neither of the drivers required treatment.
Heichelbech was ticketed on a charge of careless driving.
Both vehicle were towed from the scene.
