A 47-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by a truck at 7:25 p.m. Saturday in front of the Pilot Truck Stop in Marion County.
The woman has not been identified pending notification of next of kin.
David Gale, 34, of Ocala had been driving on County Road 346 just west of NW 42 Avenue Road when the woman darted out in front of his truck, according to the accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The FHP report noted that it was dark and the roadway was not lit.
