Evan Bruce Richards, 72, The Villages, FL passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015. He was born in Shelby, OH and graduated from Ohio Northern University, Ada, OH with a BS in Electrical Engineering and received his MBA/MBR from Ohio State University. He moved to The Villages in 2000. He was extremely involved in the community having served on the Board of The Villages Regional Hospital and Leesburg Regional Memorial Hospital; President select of The Villages Rotary Club and various other boards and the American Cancer Society. Evan has also mentored 13 young men over the last eight years as part of the Take Stock in Children program.
Evan is survived by his wife Mary Ann Richards, The Villages; 2 sons: Troy (Laura) Richards, Delaware, OH and Trevor (Marsha) Richards, West DesMoines, Iowa; 5 grandchildren: Emily, Erik, Luke, Melissa and Blake; 1 great granddaughter Audrey.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Hope Lutheran Church, 250 Avenida Los Angelos, The Villages, FL 32162.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Villages Regional Hospital Auxiliary Foundation, 1501 N. US Highway 441, Suite 1829, The Villages, FL 32159.
