Two women were arrested by Lady Lake police after the pair allegedly tried to give an officer false names.
Debra Lee Shappy, 58, of Lady Lake was pulled over when a police officer noticed an expired Mississippi tag on the vehicle she was driving. Shappy allegedly attempted to give the officer a false name.
A passenger in the car, 54-year-old Kelly Lynne Betz of Summerfield, also attempted to give the officer a false name, according to the arrest report.
Both were arrested on charges of giving false information to a law enforcement officer. Shappy was also arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended. Her bond was set at $6,000.
Betz was also charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond for Betz was set at $5,000.
