Printz is in the early stage of organizing his campaign to run for the seat now held by Commissioner Don Hahnfeldt who has filed paperwork to run for the Florida House seat now held by Republican Marlene O’Toole. O’Toole cannot run for re-election due to term limit rules.

Hahnfeldt is currently serving as chairman of the Sumter County Board of Commissioners

Printz  is a Community Development District 9 supervisor. He represents CDD 9 on the Project Wide Advisory Committee. He also serves on the Sumter County Republican Executive Committee as well as a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for the Lake-Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Printz is retired Navy and worked in executive positions for a number of midwest manufacturers.

“My focus, if successful in this journey,  will be to keep Sumter County moving forward, and to build on the achievements of  improving essential services while keeping taxes low that have been the focus of the current County Commissioners and the County Administrator.  They have done an excellent job and continue to demonstrate that a common sense approach works in serving the residents of Sumter County,” Printz said.
